Square gaskets and flat gaskets are common seals, which play an important role in industrial production. Although the two seals are very similar in appearance, their structure, use and application are very different.

First of all, square gaskets and pads are very different in structure. The flat gasket is a flat shape seal, which is usually composed of a round, square or rectangular plane. The thickness of the flat pad is relatively thin, only a few millimeters or so. The structure of the square gasket is more complex, it is usually composed of several layers of different materials, such as copper, steel, etc., the thickness and quantity of the material are not the same.

From the perspective of usage, square gaskets have special functions. As the name suggests, its shape is regular because it needs to fill the gaps between square components. Square pads can be manufactured in different sizes, thicknesses, and hardness specifications according to needs, effectively solving the matching problems between different components in their respective fields, in order to maintain stability or fit. Flat pads are usually used for positioning, buffering, load-bearing, and other aspects. They play a role in the gaps between components, providing cushioning and support, preventing friction and damage.

Square gaskets and flat gaskets also have significant differences in application scenarios. Flat pads are widely used in fields such as machinery, electronics, and aviation, and are suitable for various equipment and components that require high precision and large temperature changes. Square gaskets are mainly used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, papermaking, and hemodialysis, and are used in various situations that require high pressure, low temperature, and corrosion resistance.
